As a native Deaf person, Erin knows and understands the challenges of navigating a world that is predominately set up for hearing people. Deaf from birth, Erin has gained much experience from navigating life in a hearing world. These experiences inform Erin’s work style and commitment to teaching Auslan and mentoring Deaf people to get the most out of their life. Erin understands what is needed to break down the barriers to support better communication within the home, better outcomes within the education system, more inclusive and dynamic relationships within friendships and relationships within the community and employment opportunities that are enriched with opportunity. Erin, not known for sitting still for long, has an extraordinary background to draw upon in her business. This diverse background supports and informs the Deaf Culture workshops she enjoys delivering in workplaces and in the community. Further breaking down communication barriers and aiming for more inclusivity. Whilst not working, Erin loves healthy eating, and has recently added nutrition coaching to Sea Expression’s services, keeping fit and active, travelling, art and spending time with her husband and gorgeous dogs Abby and Loki.
